Job Description:
 The Automation Technician supports production by monitoring, and adjusting equipment, as necessary, displaying efforts towards process improvements to reduce or eliminate scrap, improve productivity, maintain specified quality standards, and add value to the product. This job description lists major areas of responsibility and additional job activities may be added at any time. Â
3rd Shift Hours: Sunday to Thursday 11:00pm-7:00am

Duties and ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Unjam and restart automated assembly processes
- Set-up and start-up automated production equipment
- Maintain production standards as needed
- Perform and record routine inspections
- Record pertinent data for inter-shift communication
- Maintain order and cleanliness of department
- May assist in the material handling as necessary
- Other duties and projects as determined by business needs and production
- Responsible for sustaining quality standards of in-process and fully-assembled products
- Maintain Total Productive Maintenance list
- Assist in modifications and repairs to existing equipment ​

Education, Skills, and ExperienceÂ
- High school diploma, or equivalent, required
- 1 – 2 years of previous manufacturing experienceÂ
- Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of LOTO practices and proper machine guarding
- Working knowledge of the proper use of hand tools used to repair and maintain automated assembly equipment
- Proficient communication skills with multiple levels of employees
- Basic knowledge of metrology and the use of measuring equipmentÂ
