We are looking for an energetic, reliable, and hospitality-focused Coffee Cart Barista to operate and maintain a workplace coffee cart experience for our client.
This position is different from a traditional café Barista role. In addition to preparing high-quality espresso and coffee beverages, the Coffee Cart Barista is responsible for the daily setup, operation, replenishment, cleaning, and breakdown of a self-contained coffee cart.
Because the coffee cart is not directly connected to a permanent water source, this role requires additional hands-on responsibilities, including filling, transporting, and replacing water containers used to operate the cart throughout service.
Key Responsibilities
Coffee & Guest Experience
- Prepare espresso-based beverages, coffee, tea, and other menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Provide friendly, professional, and engaging service to employees and guests.
- Maintain consistency in beverage quality, presentation, and service.
- Become familiar with menu offerings, ingredients, and common dietary or allergen questions.
- Maintain an organized and welcoming coffee cart throughout service.
Coffee Cart Setup & Daily Operations
- Ensure the espresso machine, grinders, refrigeration, water system, and other equipment are ready for operation.
- Stock cups, lids, milk, alternative milks, coffee, syrups, teas, napkins, and other service supplies.
- Monitor inventory throughout the shift and replenish products as needed.
- Maintain an organized backstock area and communicate inventory needs before products run out.
- Complete closing procedures and properly secure and organize the cart at the end of service.
- Keeping the cart's water supply and wastewater areas clean and sanitary.
- Clean and sanitize the espresso machine, steam wands, grinders, pitchers, tools, counters, sinks, and service areas.
- Wash and organize dishes and reusable equipment throughout the shift.
- Remove trash, recycling, coffee grounds, and other waste as needed.
- Receive and organize coffee, milk, supplies, and other deliveries when required.
- Rotate products using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
- Check expiration dates and product quality.
- Report low inventory, damaged equipment, maintenance concerns, or product issues to management promptly.
- Hospitality, Customer Service, & Barista Experience
- Ability to arrive on-time at our client's office each day
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Frequently bending, reaching, twisting, and moving around the coffee cart.
- Moving and replenishing water containers throughout the shift.
- Transporting product and supplies between storage areas and the coffee cart.
- Performing repetitive tasks associated with beverage preparation, cleaning, stocking, and cart maintenance.
- Reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with applicable law.
- Pay: $23-25/hr
- Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance
- 401k Retirement Savings Account
