Schedule: 2nd Shift (11-7 or 12-8), M-F, Flex Time - Willing to work one to two weekend days a month.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate substance use disorder (SUD) Counselor to join our clinical team and provide therapeutic services to the individuals we serve.
Position Overview
The SUD Counselor reports to the Clinical Director and is responsible for providing assessments, treatment planning, counseling services, case management support, and clinical documentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, demonstrate professionalism and empathy, and thrive in a collaborative treatment environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments to determine treatment needs and appropriate levels of care.
- Provide weekly individual counseling sessions to assigned clients.
- Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, as appropriate and within the scope of licensure.
- Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans and case management goals.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of client progress, behaviors, and interactions.
- Monitor client outcomes and communicate updates to the clinical treatment team.
- Participate actively in weekly treatment team meetings.
- Develop discharge and aftercare plans to support long-term recovery and continuity of care.
- Serve as a liaison with insurance providers, probation officers, and other external partners as needed.
- Prepare and maintain documentation required for audits, accreditation reviews, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless and effective client care.
- Represent TPC Wellness in court proceedings when required.
- Contribute recommendations for program development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and continuing education opportunities.
- Maintain all required licenses and certifications in good standing.
- Transport clients to appointments, court appearances, or program-related functions as needed.
Qualifications
Licensure
- LCDC II or LCDC III license required.
- License must remain active and in good standing throughout employment.
Education
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in health services, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass all required background screenings and credentialing requirements.
