Driver Supervisor Opportunity (located in Morristown, TN)

Position Summary:

The Driver Supervisor is responsible for supervising CDL and Escort drivers 
within their assigned location. This role will build positive relationships and actively coach a group of drivers while managing specific business key metrics. This includes achieving maximum fleet productivity and profitability by reaching weekly utilization goals. This position will be held accountable to ensure safe standards of operation are practiced while meeting all customer pickup and delivery requirements. As a Driver Supervisor you are required to use an open, 
interactive coaching/mentoring approach to create driver success and retain our driving professionals.


Duties / Responsibilities:
• Administration of Omnitracs
• Ensure driver success through relationship building, effective communication, positive recognition and timely addressing issues.
• Manage all driver’s logs and DOT Hours of Service
• Monitor Driving behaviors and handle driver disciplinary actions
• Conduct Drivers meetings
• Daily and weekly load planning
• Backhaul acquisition 
• Truck maintenance (planned and breakdowns) & maintenance record keeping
• Truck registrations and IFTA
• Driver issue resolution
• Fuel card administration
• Maintain Driver files (MVRs, Health Cards, DOT medical requirements, etc.)
• Accident investigations
• DOT violation investigation, documentation, and resolution
• Keep and verify accurate records on incoming and outgoing shipments in files that allow 
an easy quick resource.
• Ensure customers are kept notified on ETAs.
• Other duties as assigned 


Qualifications:
• High School degree or equivalent, college degree preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred.
• 2+ years of prior supervisory experience.
• Must be able to speak and write clearly and professionally. 
• Must be customer service oriented with a positive personality.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and have an aptitude to learn custom software programs.


Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and / or pulling.
• Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able 
to exchange accurate information with others.
• Work environment is not temperature controlled and may result in exposure to extreme 
temperatures.
• Work primarily involves sitting / standing, up to 4 hours at a time
