Corvid's Mechanical Launch Services team is adding technicians to support the design, assembly and inspection of wiring harnesses and other electronics for avionic systems. The team will work closely with the engineering staff to understand systems, resolve technical issues, develop and optimize processes. The position will be critical to maintaining high level of quality standards through appropriate documentation as well as troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of complex electronic equipment and systems.

Some tasks will include:

  • Advanced hand soldering of components on printed circuit boards (PCBs)
  • Assemble wiring harnesses, ensuring compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 requirements
  • Read and interpret detailed technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of electronic components and assemblies to ensure the highest quality standards
  • Some travel to customer sites for installation, support and repair of systems (up to 10%)

Requirements:

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required (technical training or Associate's Degree is a plus)
  • Candidate must have experience electronic assembly and hand soldering , with a preference for experience on high-reliability applications
  • Preferred candidate will possess certification in IPS Soldering J-STD-001G/S soldering and/or IPC/WHMA-A-620 wiring harness (ability to obtain one with training is required)
  • Demonstrated expertise in reading and interpreting complex technical drawings and schematics
