The Die Setter will serve our Water Heating Division, located in Montgomery, AL.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to properly use tools and equipment to remove and set dies in presses, press brakes, and power presses.
- Must be able to correctly interpret specifications, sketches, and drawings to ensure dies are adjusted within appropriate tolerances for normal use.
- Will be responsible for making necessary checks on die equipment, attend to their proper care, and perform required repairs.
- Must be able to use new dies, set-up new tool designs using proper gauges, verniers, and/or other standard measuring equipment.
- Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
- Observe all departmental safety requirements.
- Inspect units or parts for defects and workmanship.
- Work from written or verbal orders.
- Practice and support Rheem values with internal as well as external customers.
- May be exposed to high noise levels, heat, dust and airborne particles.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Must be able to add, subtract, divide & multiply fractions and decimals.
- Continuous lifting of 5-25 lbs.
- Frequent lifting of 25-60 lbs.
- Occasional lifting of 60+ lbs.
- Frequent strain due to position, unsupported lifting.
- Must be able to stand, walk and/or lift repetitively during shift.
- Must be able to frequently lift in unsupported positions as well as bend, twist/turn, reach, push/pull.
- Must have vision skills acceptable for a lift truck license and the motor skills/climbing ability to safety board/operate the equipment.
