Description
Partner with VP of Finance, Assistant Corporate Controller and Plant Controller to manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting obligations – both internally and externally. Manage implementation and testing of financial reporting consolidation / FP&A tool.
Requirements
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
• Manage the preparation of monthly business unit and consolidated internal financial statements.Â
• Manage the preparation of monthly and quarterly investor and external reporting.Â
• Create and manage the preparation of weekly and monthly reports to support departmental and business needs.Â
• Manage future implementation of financial reporting consolidation / FP&A tool.Â
• Prepare detailed internal financial reports, including researching and explaining significant variances by working closely with various departments and management.Â
• Provide assistance to the Corporate Controller, Assistant Corporate Controller and Plant Controller on key accounting tasks/deliverables.Â
• Provide ad hoc financial reports, tables, & exhibits as requested.Â
• Assesses the needs of the business, prioritize projects and drive new reporting requirements to completion.Â
• Prepare and analyze financial statements monthly, including: income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows.Â
• Perform quality assurance and deliver recurring reports accurately and on-time.Â
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing, and explaining information.Â
• Interpret and analyze financial information posted to general ledger accounts.Â
• Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.Â
• Investigate and report to the Manager any inconsistencies or improprieties.Â
• Research balance sheet items and income/expense fluctuations utilizing various systems and information sources.
 REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIESÂ
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Â
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as accounting software.Â
• Thorough understanding of accounting procedures.Â
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Â
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.Â
• Ability to manage confidential information.Â
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEÂ
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or FinanceÂ
• CPA and/or Masters Degree preferredÂ
• 5+ years of relevant accounting/financial analysis required.Â
• Infor Syteline or Epicor ERP experience a plusÂ
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSÂ
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
 • Ability to lift 25 lbs
