Responsibilities include: Answer and route incoming calls professionally Prepare weekly Interdisciplinary Team (IDG) meeting documentation Assist during weekly clinical team meetings Upload, scan, fax, and maintain patient documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Ensure physician orders and clinical documentation are processed accurately and timely Order and maintain medical and office supplies Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy Support the Patient Care Coordinator, Clinical Managers, and leadership team with daily administrative tasks Assist with additional clerical projects as assigned QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For Preferred Qualifications: Hospice experience strongly preferred Minimum of 1–2 years of healthcare administrative experience Experience supporting nurses, clinical staff, or healthcare leadership preferred Strong understanding of healthcare documentation, confidentiality, and protection of patient information Experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks and deadlines Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Professional Requirements: Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment Comfortable handling confidential patient and clinical information with discretion Professional, compassionate, and respectful in all interactions Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to support clinicians and coworkers Strong commitment to customer service and creating a positive experience for patients, families, and referral partners Enjoys working behind the scenes to support clinicians and help ensure efficient clinical operations Passionate about contributing to an exceptional experience for hospice patients and their families Physical Demands The position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, reach, and perform other movements necessary to complete the essential functions of the position.
