Job Summary: The Pipefitter is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of  fire protection systems in accordance with blueprints, specifications and local codes. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately interpret and apply blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the optimal layout for piping systems, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
  • Expertly install pipe hangers and supports to secure piping systems, ensuring stability and alignment throughout the project.
  • Safely perform rigging and lifting operations to position and install heavy piping materials and equipment using cranes, hoists, and other lifting devices.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes and tubing using hand and power tools, ensuring precision and adherence to project specifications.
  • Conduct mechanical assembly of complex piping systems, integrating components and ensuring seamless functionality.
  • Skillfully fit and join various types of pipes, including metal, plastic, and composite materials, using appropriate methods and techniques.
  • Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, and loss of unused materials, while maintaining a clean and organized worksite.
