If you have experience working with our population, even better! As an employee, you will be responsible for: Creating a positive environment for your participants to socialize, learn occupational skills, and care for their physical needs. Yes, there is a lot of singing and dancing involved; Keeping notes of your participants’ progress. You may be in a group of 4, or you may only have one participant, and we want to know about the amazing things they learn each day; Accompanying your participants in the community where you will guide them as they practice social and community living skills; Driving our participants to community outings and maintaining the vehicles you drive. We need excellent drivers to take them on new adventures in our company-provided cars. Driving is an essential duty for all DSP positions; Instructing and championing self-advocacy and self-sufficiency by reinforcing healthy eating habits, good choices and proper grooming and hygiene;   What We Offer: Most programs only work Monday through Friday, so you can have your weekends free! Most of our employees typically work from 8:00am to 2:30pm, and anyone who works more than 30 hours is eligible for medical, dental, vision, AD&D, and life insurance. Even better, we provide PTO, sick leave and holiday pay. Last, but not least, we offer a starting hourly pay rate of $21.00 with opportunities to grow with continued working experience at Vocational Visions (Non-exempt). QualificationsMeeting Our Qualifications: Before you can become a member of our team, you will need to meet the following requirements: Be at least 18+ years old Possess a valid driver’s license Have graduated from high school or equivalent Ideally have some experience working with disabled adults. If you are not CPR certified, you must agree to become CPR certified and maintain and use your skills throughout your employment. Be able to lift, push, pull and move up to 50 pounds for when your participant needs help, depending on the program. We make sure keep our participants safe, so you will be required to take a physical, pass a background check, TB test, and drug screen.
