Dietary Aide

Location - St Joseph PACE

Hours- 8-430 Monday through Friday

Shift - Full Time 1st Shift

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Dietary Aide to support our nutrition services team and help provide high-quality dining experiences for participants in our PACE program.

Position Highlights and Benefits:

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation, meal service, snacks, and nutritional supplements under the direction of the Dietitian or designee.
  • Set up meal trays, food carts, and dining areas while ensuring participant dietary needs are met.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment by following established food safety and infection control practices.
  • Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping duties within the dietary department.
  • Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support participant care and satisfaction.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and required training programs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of participant, family, and organizational information.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One to two years of food preparation experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Experience working with frail or elderly populations preferred; training will be provided for qualified candidates with less experience.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing needs.
  • For North Carolina positions, an Employee Medical Statement meeting state requirements must be completed prior to employment.
