Job DetailsJob Location: Trinity Health Hospital Campus & Medical District - Minot, ND 58701Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $21.74 - $32.61 HourlyJob Shift: DaysJob Category: NursingPosition Summary: The LPN Clinic, General Surgery provides direct nursing care and clinical support to patients in the general surgery clinic under the supervision of providers, registered nurses, and clinical leadership. This role supports patient assessments, care coordination, and daily clinic workflows to help ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered surgical care. Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary clinic team, the LPN Clinic, General Surgery contributes to continuity of care across pre- and post-operative services while supporting clear communication and patient education. Through reliable clinical practice, teamwork, and adherence to quality and regulatory standards, this position supports effective clinic operations and positive patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care and clinical support to general surgery patients in accordance with provider orders and established care plans. Assist with patient assessments, rooming, vital signs, and monitoring, reporting changes in condition to registered nurses or providers. Support clinic procedures, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing in accordance with departmental requirements. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record and support coding and clerical processes as assigned. Coordinate patient flow, prepare exam rooms, and support efficient clinic operations across assigned locations. Collaborate with providers and clinic staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care and support patient education as directed. QualificationsLicenses and Certifications Required: Current or temporary LPN license in ND or compact LPN licensure CPR required within orientation period Ongoing Point of Care certifications as required for department required within orientation period Educational Requirements: LPN as evidenced by licensure Experience Requirements: One year or more of LPN experience preferred Clinic experience preferred Coding experience preferred Special Skills or Training Requirements: May require travel to satellites Computer use Trinity community clinics - draw and package lab tests Minot clinics - participate in Convenient care weekend schedule Physical Requirements: This role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and movement throughout clinic environments. The LPN must be able to assist with patient positioning, move equipment and supplies, and perform repetitive clinical tasks. Adequate vision, hearing, manual dexterity, and communication skills are required to safely deliver care, draw and package lab specimens as applicable, and document accurately. Environmental Requirements: The LPN Clinic, General Surgery works in outpatient clinic and satellite locations with regular interaction with patients, families, and clinical staff. The role may involve exposure to infectious diseases, medical equipment, cleaning agents, and moderate noise levels. Travel between clinic sites and participation in extended or weekend clinic coverage may be required. Adherence to infection prevention practices, personal protective equipment requirements, safety protocols, and confidentiality standards is required at all times.
