The Impact You’ll Have:Â
As a Graduate Traffic Engineer, you will have the ability to be a part of a cohesive Traffic Engineering team. Jump start your career by being exposed to a variety of transportation engineering experiences under the direction of a licensed and knowledgeable Professional Engineer. You will work with a variety of agencies including DOT’s, Counties, Cities and Developers.Â
Responsibilities:Â
- Support signal timing projects, including building, optimizing Synchro models and implementing signal timing plansÂ
- Developing regional travel demand for traffic forecasting and microscopic traffic simulation models for urban arterial and freeway traffic operations.Â
- Conduct traffic capacity, traffic operations, and safety analysis for traffic impact studies (TIS), intersection control evaluations (ICE) and corridor studiesÂ
- Supporting documentation, evaluation and design of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).Â
- Traffic design – plans, specifications, quantities and estimates for traffic signal, roadway lighting, roadway signing, and pavement markingsÂ
- Developing maintenance of traffic plans to support roadway construction staging.Â
Â
Qualifications:Â
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related engineering field), or actively pursing degreeÂ
- 0 - 4 years of experience in Traffic EngineeringÂ
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and ExcelÂ
- Motivated to learn, take initiative, and contribute to high-quality project deliverablesÂ
- Excellent technical, written, and communication skillsÂ

Preferred Qualifications:Â
- Proficiency with Synchro, SimTraffic and Vissim traffic analysis softwareÂ
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStationÂ

The base pay for this position is expected to be in the range of $70,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.Â
