The Benefits & Payroll Coordinator in Milwaukee, WI, is responsible for the financial administration, reconciliation, and control of U.S. benefits and payroll-related processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity across multiple systems and vendors. The role partners closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, Accounts Payable, and external providers to validate benefit deductions, funding, and vendor billing for programs with significant financial exposure. This position operates with increasing independence and analytical responsibility, performing financial validation, variance analysis, and audit support functions. In addition, the role serves as a designated backup for the Retirement Benefits Administrator, supporting continuity of operations for critical retirement and compliance processes.

This role reports to Finance Director – GBS & Customer Service.

What You’ll Be Brewing:

  • Lead reconciliation and validation of benefit deductions, payroll funding, and eligibility systems, supporting approximately $100M+ in 401(k) contributions, $5M+ in HSA funding, and $30M+ in vendor premium billing annually. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment across payroll and vendor.
  • Analyze vendor billing reports, payroll outputs, and benefit files to identify discrepancies, trends, and anomalies impacting high-volume financial transactions.
  • Execute internal control activities, including variance analysis, audit support, and data validation, ensuring compliance and financial integrity across $100M+ in benefit-related financial flows.
  • Partner with Finance, Payroll, and Accounts Payable to investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring accurate reporting and timely execution of payments tied to high-value benefit funding.
  • Support financial administration of benefit programs, including invoice processing, premium calculations, and vendor payment coordination, directly executing and supporting $30M+ in annual vendor-related payments. Prepare monthly and ad hoc financial reporting.
  • benefit program support. 10% Manage vendor relationships and communications, resolving billing issues, clarifying discrepancies, and ensuring data integrity across vendors supporting multi-million-dollar benefit programs.
  • Administer and monitor leave of absence (LOA) programs and related payroll coding, ensuring daily accuracy, compliance (e.g., FMLA), and employee impact management across payroll and benefits.
  • Provide operational and analytical support as backup to the Retirement Benefits Administrator, including issue resolution and supporting retirement processes impacting high-value participant.


Key Ingredients:
 

  • 3 to 5 years of experience with payroll, benefits administration, or financial reconciliation; performing data validation, reporting, or audit support; working across multiple systems (HRIS, payroll, vendor platforms); interacting with Finance, Accounts Payable, or external vendors.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to reconcile and validate large data sets across multiple systems.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and recommend resolution actions.
  • Experience working with payroll, benefit systems, and vendor billing processes.
  • High attention to detail with accountability for financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and resolve issues across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills to partner with Finance, HR, Payroll, and external vendors.
  • Understanding financial controls, audit requirements, and data integrity principles.
  • Ability to operate with increasing independence and sound judgment.

At Molson Coors, we’re committed to paying people fairly and equitably for the work they do.


Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings: $51,000.00 - $67,000.00 (posting salary range) + 5% target short term incentive + $23,000 on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).


The posting range provided above for salary is what we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We ultimately pay based on a number of non-discriminatory factors that inform pay decisions including but not limited to the required work location, previous work experience, skill set and internal equity.
