Trauma Intervention Counselor

Salary Range: $23.50 - $27.00/hour depending on experience + sign-on bonus (half paid after 6 months of employment and half paid after 1 year of employment/pro-rated for part-time).
What You Will Do:
- Provide crisis intervention, advocacy, individual, family, and group counseling to survivors and significant others affected by domestic violence, rape/sexual assault, as well as support to children who witnessed violence.
- Provide emergency response to hotline callers, legal advocacy and medical advocacy during daytime hours as well as be on rotation coverage for nights, weekends and holiday shifts.
- Conduct assessments; develop safety plans, complete required documentation
- Liaison with other area providers.
- Maintains and reports on funder's quarterly and annual statistics.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Counseling or equivalent.
- Two years’ experience working with individuals, groups, and families or equivalent life/work experience.
- Experience working with victims and/or criminal justice system is desirable.
- Bilingual Spanish/Portuguese preferred.
- Driving in the community is a requirement of this position; please ensure you have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
We will train you in: Rape Crisis Training; Motivational Interviewing; Courageous Conversations; Attachment, Regulation and Competency Model (ARC); Trauma Informed Practice; Risk and Safety Assessment.
