The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Escrow & Post-Closing Specialist to support the financial, document, recording, and post-closing functions of our residential real estate practice. This is a critical role for someone who takes pride in accuracy, organization, follow-through, and getting the details right.
WHAT YOU’LL DO • Manage post-closing files and review executed documents for completeness. • Process and document escrow funds, including wires, checks, refunds, payoffs, and commissions. • Balance transaction files and identify or escalate discrepancies. • Prepare and track recordable documents and coordinate recording and resubmissions. • Prepare lender/post-closing packages, shipments, mailings, and electronic submissions. • Track originals, checks, shipments, and other time-sensitive deliverables. • Support owner’s and lender’s title policy preparation and delivery. • Maintain accurate files and communicate with attorneys, lenders, clients, vendors, banks, and internal teams. | WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Exceptional attention to detail with numbers, names, legal documents, and financial records. • Able to work accurately in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. • Strong written/verbal communication and professional customer-service skills. • Able to follow procedures, checklists, and compliance requirements consistently. • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel; comfortable learning workflow, document-management, title/closing, banking, and reconciliation systems. • Prior experience in real estate closings, title, escrow, banking, mortgage servicing, accounting, legal operations, or a similar detail-heavy environment preferred. |
Experience That Will Stand Out
Residential purchase, sale, refinance, or REO closing experience; escrow/IOLTA funds; wires, ledgers, closing disclosures or ALTA statements; title policies; RynohLive or similar reconciliation software; Connecticut recording requirements; or experience in a law firm, title company, mortgage company, bank, or settlement-services environment.
