Position Summary

The Communications & Marketing Intern supports the organization's public presence across digital and community channels. This intern will help Girls Inc. of Greater Miami tell its story with boldness and purpose — creating content that reaches families, donors, and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms
  • Draft newsletters, e-blasts, and press releases
  • Photograph and document programs and events (with proper consent)
  • Maintain and contribute to the organizational content calendar
  • Design flyers, infographics, and digital assets using Canva or Adobe Suite
  • Track social media engagement metrics and prepare monthly reports
  • Support event logistics and promotional campaigns
  • Assist with donor acknowledgment letters and stewardship materials

Qualifications

  • Enrolled at FIU in Women's & Gender Studies, Communications, Marketing, or related program
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Experience with social media platforms and/or Canva preferred
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and creative
