Description

Race Winning Brands (RWB) is the leading manufacturer of racing and high-performance parts sold to automotive and powersports markets. RWB is the preferred source for high-end pistons, engine blocks, cylinder heads, intake manifolds, connecting rods, crankshafts, clutches, transmissions, springs and other engine and driveline- related performance components. 


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (the following in only a summary of the typical functions of the job, not an exhaustive or comprehensive list of all possible responsibilities, tasks, and duties)

  • Write production CNC programs which meet or exceed expectations. 
  • The programming team is expected to work effectively with all members of manufacturing, engineering, and operations to develop efficient CNC programs. 
  • Accountable for the continuous improvement of the programming process to help make RWB a world-class organization. 
  • Working with engineers: Collaborate with engineers to make improvements.
  • Analyzing blueprints: Study blueprints and models to find the most efficient production method.
  • Work productively and professionally with all employees and/or outside suppliers/customers to meet RWB’s strategic objectives. 
  • Will be relied upon for technical expertise in team activities.
  • A working knowledge of shop math including tool geometry, positive and negative numbers, as well as basic geometry.
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment.
  • CNC program maintenance & updates due to design changes.
  • Troubleshooting: Improve existing software and codes.
  • Programming: Translate design specifications into instructions for cutting tools and machining operations
  • Selecting tools: Choose the best tools for the material and machining operation.
  • Developing set-up documentation.
  • Operate machines as required.
  • Communicate with group leader and/or the Mfg. Engineering Manager regarding all work-related issues.
  • Responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and promptness of all work.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and identify/improve manufacturing methods/processes as required.
  • Evidence of success in level one machining duties for at least one year prior to promotion or hire.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two or more years of machining experience using CNC mills and 2-3 years programming experience using CAM software.
  • Working knowledge of CAD systems, solid understanding of machine processes and cutting tools.
  • Proficiency in CAM software, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
