Salary Range:$56,102.54 - $85,841.60

 

Works under the direction of the assigned administrator to monitor and manage the service centers’ network, systems software, and data management programs. Monitors employee and vendor locations using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and oversees IT systems at treatment plants, including CMMS, DCS, EDS, and WIMS. Serves as a liaison between the department and Information Systems (IS) on IT projects and coordinates system implementations. Reviews and monitors assigned tasks and recommends priorities, solutions, and future directions for IT functions. Manages various databases related to citizen service requests, inventory management, maintenance requests, repairs, regulatory compliance, permits, and assets. Creates reports, dashboards, and queries from databases as requested by management. Coordinates data tracking for fuel, employee attendance, training, and lift station faults. Provides technical support by designing, modifying, and troubleshooting database programs, ensuring proper functioning and productivity of staff, systems, and applications. Recommends and implements system upgrades, keeping current with developing technology. Provides training for departmental staff and external vendors on new and existing technology. Ensures data management technologies are up to date, evaluates IT solutions to improve productivity, and standardizes processes across the department.  Troubleshoots hardware/software issues and coordinates network access, desktop applications, and connectivity.  Prepares reports and technical documents, attends meetings across the city, and addresses system issues. Interacts and communicates with management, IS staff, vendors, and the public to resolve IT concerns.  Provides technical oversight, formulates database program specifications, and supports staff with ongoing IT needs. Compiles progress reports reflecting operational efficiency and effectiveness. Regularly attends meetings, conferences, and work sites to provide training, technical assistance, and address IT needs across departments.
