VNA Alliance is a faith based, non-profit organization based in Meadville, Pennsylvania. VNA Alliance serves Crawford, Mercer, Venango, Erie, Forest, Warren, Butler, and Lawrence counties. We offer skilled nursing, palliative care, and comprehensive therapy services.Â
The Team Assistant performs in-house staff support and while maintaining a high-quality services for all stakeholders. Further, the positions must sustain positive interaction with clients, family members of the clients, staff, and referral sources.

QUALIFICATIONS
Â
- High school education or equivalent required
- At least two [2]-years’ experience in a health care related environment preferred
- Computer skills:Â Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize and organize daily workload
- Must have a current and valid driver’s license. Reliable, independent means of transportation with vehicle insurance limits as established by the state
- Knowledge base of agency policies, federal and state regulations and third-party payers

 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Â
- Handles all phones calls, or general inquiries and messages for staff, clients, and referral sources in a positive, courteous, pleasant, and professional manner
- Utilizes the Electronic Health Record (EHR) to assist patient and clinicians as needed
- Greets all visitors to the agency in a courteous and professional manner
- Maintains office environment, and organizes common areas
- Creates and maintains office postings both physical and electronic
- Coordinates incoming and outgoing mail, and packages
- Creates starts of care packets, and completes all electronic uploads timely
- Conducts patient concierge calls prior to home health admission, and completes discharge follow-up calls in coordination with Quality Assurance Coordinator
- Creates letters, envelopes, and labels using word processing software for general purposes and mass mailings
- Submits repair request to  the  copier company when repairs are needed to the copiers and fax machines

- Maintains a professional standard of conduct, projecting a positive image of the home care service line at all times
- Provides back-up to TA11 and TA111
- Other duties and patient-related tasks as assigned
