Responsibilities and Duties

WHO/WHAT: IF YOU LOVE THE “AHA!” MOMENTS, THIS ONE’S FOR YOU.

Are you the person who notices the win that everyone else might miss? The successful transition. The new sound. The picture card used instead of getting frustrated. The first attempt at something that took 47 tries to get there.

This might be your family.

This Peters Township family is looking for a nanny for their three little ones: affectionate, energetic 3.5-year-old twin boys and their happy 8-month-old baby sister. And while they would absolutely love to meet an experienced career nanny, they're especially excited about candidates who come from the worlds of behavioral health, special education, child development, early intervention, ABA, speech/occupational therapy support, or other special-needs settings.

The twins have speech delays. They communicate using picture cards and other tools they've learned through therapy, and they receive ABA therapy most mornings. This is a home where you'll get to work alongside professionals, learn what's working for the boys, and help carry those strategies into everyday life—not as their therapist, but as a loving, consistent caregiver who gets to make all that learning feel like real life.

And these boys are FUN.

They're affectionate, playful, active, and happiest when they're climbing, swinging, chasing bubbles, building train tracks, running through the backyard, or convincing a willing adult that yes, they absolutely need to be tossed in the air one more time.

Their baby sister is happily along for the ride, so you'll also get your fill of baby snuggles, bottles, naps, floor play, and all the fun milestones that come with the first year.

Because the boys are still learning to communicate, frustration can occasionally pop up. That's where your calm matters. They're generally easily redirected, and this family is looking for someone who understands—or is excited to learn—how patience, consistency, positive reinforcement, and connection can completely change a moment.

Already have experience with autism, ABA, behavioral health, special education, or developmental differences? We REALLY want to hear from you. Your experience would be incredibly valued here. If you don't have that background but you're patient, curious, and eager to learn, don't count yourself out either. Their therapy team is collaborative, supportive, and happy to share the tools that help these boys thrive.

Both parents work from home in separate offices and do their best to let their nanny run the show. Grandma has also been an incredible part of the boys' lives and, while she's ready to spend more time simply being Grandma, she'll still happily join an occasional adventure or lend an extra set of hands. For outings like swim lessons, splash parks, and appointments, there will always be at least two adults—you won't be expected to wrangle three tiny humans through the world solo.

When the kids are settled, you'll pitch in with children's laundry, light meal prep, vacuuming, sweeping, tidying, and occasionally letting out their sweet corgi, who is fairly certain every person entering the house came specifically to see him.

THE IDEAL NANNY IS…A LITTLE-WIN PERSON! Maybe you've worked as an RBT, behavioral health technician, paraprofessional, special education aide, developmental specialist, or caregiver for children with additional needs—and you're ready for something more personal than a classroom, clinic, or caseload.

Or maybe you're a fantastic nanny who simply has a gift for meeting children exactly where they are.

Either way, you're patient without being passive, playful without getting overwhelmed by chaos, and genuinely interested in how kids learn and communicate. You can follow the lead of a therapy team while still bringing your own warmth, personality, and creativity to the day. You're dependable, active, observant, and calm when a child is having a hard moment.

Most importantly, you see the child before the diagnosis. You'll learn what makes these boys laugh, what helps them communicate, what makes transitions easier, and exactly how big to celebrate when something finally clicks.

This family isn't just looking for someone to fill three days a week. They're hoping to find a person who will know these kids, root for them, grow with them, and become an important part of their village for years to come.

If your favorite kind of progress is sometimes measured in inches instead of miles, we think you're going to love it here. Apply today!
