Overview

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is a 100% employee-owned company supporting important federal government missions. We’re hiring a Requirements Management Process Analyst to help our government customer improve how capability gaps and operational needs are identified, evaluated, documented, prioritized, and tracked.

The ideal candidate has experience with requirements gathering, business process analysis, stakeholder engagement, and technical documentation. You’ll help turn stakeholder input into clear requirements, user stories, workflow improvements, and briefing materials while working with Government leaders, technical teams, and business professionals.

Responsibilities

As a Requirements Management Process Analyst at AMERICAN SYSTEMS, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support the Government in executing and continuously improving a streamlined requirements management process for identifying, assessing, validating, prioritizing, and tracking capability gaps and operational needs.
  • Provide requirements engineering and business process analysis support to evaluate, document, and improve requirements workflows.
  • Review requirements processes, artifacts, and decision pathways for completeness, consistency, usability, traceability, and alignment with mission and stakeholder needs.
  • Analyze current- and future-state processes related to capability-gap management, enterprise tracking, governance, and requirements documentation, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Support enterprise gap intake, tracking, prioritization, and routing processes, including solutions involving acquisition, innovation, research and development, training, and other non-materiel approaches.
  • Facilitate stakeholder interviews, working sessions, demonstrations, and feedback sessions to identify pain points, process inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve decision support.
  • Develop and maintain workflow maps, standard operating procedures, user stories, technical documentation, briefing materials, training materials, and other process artifacts.
  • Support requirements governance by documenting roles, responsibilities, review pathways, action items, decisions, and process changes.
  • Assist with defining future-state automation, collaboration tools, dashboards, reporting, data structures, and workflow capabilities that improve requirements visibility, traceability, and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret or CBP Background Investigation, or the ability to obtain and maintain the required Government clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship required for purposes of obtaining and maintaining a U.S. security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, information systems, public administration, political science, or a related field, with 2-4 years of related experience.
  • Experience supporting DHS or another federal Government customer.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, business process analysis, user-story development, solution design, or Agile delivery.
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder engagements and translating business needs into clear requirements, documentation, or workflow improvements.
  • Experience developing briefings, standard operating procedures, user guides, training materials, or technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, or similar collaboration and workflow tools.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple assignments.
