We are currently looking for Consulting Interns for ourĀ Cyber Risk and Data Protection ConsultingĀ practice.Ā The candidate will work with teams of security and privacy staff in a wide variety of systemsĀ environments.Ā OurĀ Cyber Risk and Data ProtectionĀ ConsultingĀ team serves the Information Security and Data Privacy related needs of our clients. This teamĀ assistsĀ clientsĀ with selecting, improving, controlling, securing,Ā managingĀ andĀ monitoringĀ theĀ appropriate systemsĀ to address their information needs.Ā Ā We serve a diverse base of clients in a variety ofĀ industries, andĀ understanding how technologyĀ impactsĀ the operation and growth of organizations is what we do best.Ā
CyberĀ interns provideāÆquality consultingāÆservices to the Firm's clients by performing the duties and responsibilities listed below in an efficient and effective manner.Ā
Examples of candidate's responsibilities include:Ā
Conduct assessmentsĀ identifyĀ risks within anĀ organizationāsĀ cyber security governance compliance programsĀ
DetermineĀ technical, business impact and likelihood of identified security issues andĀ provideĀ remediation guidance to clientsĀ
Work with a variety of cyber security and privacy frameworks such as ISO, NIST,Ā CIS.Ā Ā Ā
Measure and report clientsā compliance with established industry orĀ National/InternationalĀ government requirementsĀ such as PCI DSS, CMMC, FEDRAMP, GDPR, CCPA, etc.Ā
Contribute to the development of security governance and compliance programs for our clientsĀ Ā
Support the development and implementation of toolsĀ such asĀ eGRC,Ā used to help manage security programs across a variety of organizationsĀ
Develop metrics and reporting for security programsĀ
Support presentations to executive management and Boards of DirectorsĀ Ā
Develop target operating models for cyber security programs including budgets, resource levels, reporting structure, etc.Ā Ā
Collaborate withĀ RSMĀ consulting professionalsĀ across risk and technology consultingĀ with a variety of credentials including Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Certified Information Systems Security ProfessionalsĀ® (CISSPĀ®); Certified Information Systems AuditorĀ® (CISAĀ®) and Certified Information Security ManagerĀ® (CISMĀ®)Ā

Basic Qualifications:Ā
Ā
Pursuing aĀ B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university by the time employmentĀ commencesĀ with a major inĀ Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems Management, InformationĀ SecurityĀ or other similar degreesĀ
Technical background in computer science and related fieldsĀ
Working knowledge of business process flowsĀ
The ability to interpret and convey technical information through written and oral communications to all levels of technical aptitude, including senior managementĀ
High degree of integrity and confidentiality, as well as ability to adhere to company policies and best practicesĀ
Possess a strong internal drive and motivation for continuous improvementĀ
A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferredĀ

At RSM, an employeeās pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
