We are looking for a skilled Service Technician to join our Mauldin, SC team to help us achieve our goals!
Position Summary
The Service Technician reports to the Automation Division Manager and is responsible for field service installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair for new and existing equipment at the customer site. The Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing machines, parts sales, planned maintenance programs, and assisting in joint sales calls for new and existing customers.
Position ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Responsible for different types of equipment including Stretch Film machines, Strapping machines, Case Sealers, Shrink Film machines, Sealers, etc.
- Diagnose and repair packaging equipment for new and existing customer base
- New equipment start-up services
- Promote planned maintenance programs
- Accountable for service vehicle inventories
- Work closely with sales on recommending new equipment solutionsÂ
- Make quality service calls on customers and prospects
- Work closely with equipment manufacturers on repairing and maintaining equipment
- Repair and service administrative duties, including computer, workflow, and pricing-related tasks.
- Any other job responsibilities as assigned by the Service Manager
Essential Skills and Experience
- 2 or more years of technical service experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- PC proficiency in Microsoft-based programs and internet skills
- Strong interpersonal, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to fill out all service reports and inspection checklists properly and completely
- Ability to deal with a variety of customers in a highly professional and diplomatic manner
- Self-starter and motivated to work independently
- Ability to work in a team environment
