In this role you'll be responsible for the building, modification, and repair of precision plastic injection molds.  Work with design engineers to provide input on mold feasibility and function.  Mentor junior & apprentice mold makers to aid in team development, dimensional accuracy and safe work practices.   What you will receive: • Competitive wages based on experience • Flexible schedule • Paid Time Off and Paid holidays • Excellent medical insurance • 401k with company contribution • Dental and vision coverage available • Paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability • Employee Assistance Program   What you will do: • Review tool design (model, drawings) • Identify areas for improved construction & ease of machining • Inform other departments of projects needs (EDM, CNC, polish, etc.) • Communicate with management, support needed to meet delivery date (mold makers, apprentices, etc.) • Assure all mold components are received before final assembly • Train apprentices • Verify accuracy & quality of work done by others under your supervision. • Safety & housekeeping QualificationsRequired Knowledge & Skills • Blueprint reading • CAD/CAM software & programming • General mold design, build & function • Injection molding knowledge • Mechanical aptitude • Tool building materials (steels, heat treat, plating, etc) • Tool room equipment and machining processes • Use of hand-held measurement tools
