Position Overview: Monogram is seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to maintain the computer and network systems of Monogram Foods at a(n) assigned site(s). The role will ensure that all team members throughout the site have access to the required systems and will troubleshoot any issues that arise.  The qualified individual should have experience in IT support, and should possess high attention to detail, and strong troubleshooting skills. Collaboration with other departments will be required in this role. This position reports to the IT Support Manager and is on-site at the Martinsville, VA, facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and diagnose computer hardware and software issues, escalating issues when appropriate. Set up computer networks as required. Repair or upgrade user equipment and software issues. Work with users on new IT needs that develop, investigating new software and different technologies that may improve the success of the location and team members. Reply to incidents and resolve issues as needed. Record solutions to incidents according to prescribed protocols. Provide emergency response when systems fail and update end users appropriately on progress. Assist other support technicians as required. Maintain and update technical documentation. Test new hardware and software before full-scale installation. Attend and participate in meetings and provide other relevant updates as required. Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsEducation and Experience: Education: Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Preferred Education: CompTIA A+ certification is preferred. Preferred Experience: Two or more years of IT support experience.   Must be 18 years or older. Competencies and Skills: Valid driver’s license is required. Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, and software. Good time management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to collaborate well with other individuals and departments. Attention to detail. Ability to escalate issues when appropriate. Physical Demands: Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer. Ability to move about the facility on a regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting items of up to 100 lbs. unassisted, bending, standing, climbing or walking. Visual and hearing acuity. Note: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment: General office environment. May occasionally be required to work in wet humid conditions and in extreme temperatures. Will occasionally be required to work in a confined space or in a high dangerous place.
