Key Responsibilities:
Operate 1-3 bag-making machines simultaneously with proficiency
Monitor and maintain machine safeguards, pressure systems, dwell times, and temperature controls
Ensure product quality meets specifications and manufacturing instructions
Complete accurate production reports to maintain product traceability
Input data into the Production Operating System with precision
Perform quality tests and measurements for machine troubleshooting
Assist Quality Technicians with box making and taping
Coordinate with material handlers for supply management
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Education & Experience:
Bag making experience a plus
Manufacturing experience preferred
Required Skills:
Problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
Demonstrated stable work history
Ability to read and follow technical specifications
Understanding of safety systems and protocols
Basic mechanical aptitude
Basic computer proficiency including email
Ability to accurately read and use measuring tools
Strong attention to detail
Effective communication skills
Team-oriented mindset
Additional Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age
Must pass pre-employment assessment
Drug screening required
Background check required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong technical understanding of bag-making processes
Ability to interpret measurements and technical data
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
Machine setup and operation
Quality inspection and monitoring
Equipment troubleshooting
Basic maintenance procedures
Material handling
Production documentation
Detail-oriented with strong focus on quality
Basic computer proficiency including email
Effective communication skills
Ability to follow safety procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Extended periods of standing and walking
Ability to wear required PPE (hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses)
Travel Requirements: N/A
Work Conditions: The majority of tasks will be performed in a manufacturing setting with exposure to:
Noise levels above 80 dB
Operation of equipment and machinery
Solvents, fumes and inks
Variable Temperatures
Must be able to work flexible shifts
May require nights, weekends, and holidays.
An additional $2.50/hr premium for NIGHT Shift only between the hours of 7pm-7am. Any hours worked outside of 7pm-7am will not receive the premium.
