Manufacturing Technician – Electrical & Mechanical

Pay Rate: $28.00–$33.00 per hour
Location: Marietta, GA
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–2:30 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician with a strong electrical and mechanical background to join a growing manufacturing team in Marietta. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of manufacturing experience, with hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment, operating manufacturing machinery, fabricating components, and supporting assembly operations.

This position will work closely with engineers and assemblers to manufacture a variety of products while supporting electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, assembly, fabrication, and quality inspection.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate metal parts using appropriate machines and manufacturing equipment.
  • Operate metalworking machinery and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Support and oversee various assembly processes.
  • Work closely with engineers and assemblers to manufacture a wide range of products.
  • Perform basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose and address basic electrical issues involving wiring, connections, sensors, switches, motors, and other components.
  • Assist with equipment installation, repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance.
  • Read and interpret basic electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, meters, and other equipment to troubleshoot and maintain machinery.
  • Perform inspections using established methods and techniques to evaluate part quality.
  • Identify quality issues and communicate concerns to the appropriate team members.
  • Apply knowledge of measurements, mathematics, mechanical concepts, and electrical principles to manufacturing processes.
  • Follow established safety procedures and guidelines when operating machinery and performing electrical work.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow production procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Experience operating manufacturing or metalworking machinery.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, manufacturing procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with electrical components such as motors, sensors, switches, relays, wiring, and controls.
  • Basic understanding of measurements, mathematics, mechanical concepts, and electrical principles.
  • Experience using basic electrical test equipment such as a multimeter is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment and manufacturing issues.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineers, assemblers, maintenance personnel, and other members of the production team.
  • Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety.
