Job DetailsJob Location: Austin, TX 78653Position Type: Full-TimeEducation Level: 4 Year Degree (Trade School)Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 Salary/yearTravel Percentage: Up to 25%Job Shift: AnyJOB PURPOSE   Provide state oversight for the implementation, operation and evaluation of the SSVF program, serving Veterans and their families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Qualifications  ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES   Oversee the delivery of daily program services within assigned state. Monitor and evaluate case management services. Provide on-going program evaluation and recommendations for continuous growth and quality. Implement change as directed to meet program objectives and Veterans’ needs.   Communicate daily with Lead Case Manager and Lead Outreach and Intake Specialist to review case-loads and keep abreast of current issues or concerns. Keep Lead’s informed of program information. Travel to each location on a regular basis and interact with all staff. Ensure all Veteran concerns are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.   Meet regularly with the Financial Assistance Coordinators to review payment status for qualifying expenses and to ensure prompt resolution of issues with Veterans, landlords, or other providers.   Coordinate with location staff to attend and network at various Veteran and other community groups. Develop and deliver presentations to meet the Community Outreach Plans. Promote the success and reputation of Supportive Services for Veteran Families.   Operate region in an efficient, cost effective manner. Monitor budget for revenue goals and expense. Implement cost containment as needed to stay within budget parameters. Provide input to the Regional Director for annual budget preparation.   Supervise direct reports: Interview, make quality hiring decisions, train and mentor in best practices, policies and procedures. Monitor performance and document as necessary, providing ongoing feedback and timely evaluations. Develop staff for advancement and to ensure continuity of program.   Prepare and submit monthly program reports. Perform administrative duties in a timely and accurate manner including routine email and phone messages, as well as completing and filing periodic reports as required and requested.   Stay current in the field of Veteran Issues, Homelessness and related social services: Network with other professionals in the field. Read related periodicals and websites. Attend training to enhance knowledge and training skills.   Demonstrate exceptional customer service, in everything you do, by placing the child, family, Veteran or client first to support our mission to “Empower people to build better lives for themselves, their families and their communities.”                                                                                                                                                                ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS   EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or related field. EXPERIENCE: 3+ years in a customer service focused environment. 3+ years case management or program management experience; 5+ years preferred. 3+ years supervisory experience; case management supervision preferred. Supervision of remote employees a plus. Experience with homeless and low-income populations, Veterans and their families a strong plus. LICENSES: LMSW, LBSW, LMFT preferred. Drivers License with clear record required. VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice. TRAVEL: Up to 20% travel within a multi-county region. OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates. Must be available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required to meet business needs. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others.
