About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Facilities Custodian to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting our regulatory product safety initiatives by maintaining plant cleanliness, conducting deep cleaning, and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment throughout our facility.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily janitorial duties in production areas, offices, and common spaces.
Complete daily, weekly, and quarterly cleaning tasks as outlined by product safety guidelines.
Conduct deep cleaning of production lines to meet product safety standards.
Maintain and manage janitorial and cleaning supply inventories.
Perform routine groundskeeping to promote a clean and safe environment.
Inspect pest control traps weekly and report any missing or damaged traps.
Operate the scissor lift to remove cobwebs, dust, and debris from high areas, ceilings, fans, and lighting.
Assist with room setups for meetings and events, including cleaning before and after use.
Use a pressure washer to clean exterior areas such as bay doors, sidewalks, and building surfaces.
Perform light facility maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, minor touch-up painting, and reporting larger issues.
Support the Quality Assurance Manager with product safety-related tasks.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and safely.
Work Environment
Frequent exposure to dust, dirt, grease, loud noise, and moving machinery.
Frequent work around chemicals (polymers), electrical/mechanical hazards, and at heights.
Frequent walking, standing, and lifting up to 20 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
Frequent exposure to hot/cold temperatures, wet or humid conditions, and outdoor weather.
Occasional ladder use and balancing at elevated heights.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Comfortable working at heights using equipment such as scissor lifts or ladders.
Ability to safely perform tasks in elevated areas (ceilings, rafters, platforms).How to Apply:
