Job Description
The Manufacturing Associate Level 1 ā Material Handler is responsible for safely moving, storing, staging, and supplying materials that support daily manufacturing operations. This role works closely with production and warehouse teams to ensure materials are available where and when they are needed. This position may also assist with grinding and tumbling operations as business needs require.Ā Ā
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished products.
- Stage materials for production operations.
- Transport finished goods to warehouse or shipping areas.
- Maintain inventory movement records and production documentation.
- Support inventory control and cycle count activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Support warehouse and manufacturing teams as needed.
- Assist with grinding and tumbling operations when required.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications (Must Have)
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate forklifts.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Forklift experience.
- Warehouse experience.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Inventory control experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move materials regularly.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks safely.
