We currently have an opening for Engineering Lab Technician in our RCD Components facility, located in Manchester, NH. This position is critical to the success of our engineering operations and will be supporting the development and testing of electronic components, reporting directly to the Director of Quality Assurance. The ideal candidate for this position should be detail-oriented, technically proficient, and experienced in assembling and testing electronic components.

Details of the Role: The position of Engineering Lab Technician will be responsible for building, assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic components under the direction of engineering staff. During the course of a standard workday, you will be expected to:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build, assemble, and test electronic components according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronics using hand and power tools. 
  • Test electronic components using standard test equipment and analyze results to evaluate performance and document findings. 
  • Read work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, drawings, and engineering instructions for building electronic components. 
  • Procure materials and parts and maintain inventory and related documentation. 
  • Document and record data on testing techniques, laboratory equipment, and specifications to assist engineers. 
  • Build prototypes from rough sketches or plans. 
  • Perform other duties as required by company representatives.

Qualifying Attributes and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • 3–5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and diagrams. 
  • Intermediate math skills for interpreting readings, specifications, and dimensions. 
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. 
  • Strong operation monitoring and control skills for equipment and systems. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for assembling small components. 
  • Positive work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear frequently. 
  • Lift up to 25 pounds. 
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 
  • Ability to perform precise hand movements and operate intricate tools
