Job Description Summary

The Product Manager will support execution of the professional/HCP marketing strategy for a new product launch and in-line products, translating brand strategy into tactical deliverables that enable effective field force engagement. Working closely with Marketing and cross-functional partners, this individual will help bring the brand strategy to life through strong execution, sales force resource development, brand planning support, and launch readiness activities for a first-in-category product.

Scope of Authority

• Supports development and manages execution of assigned HCP marketing initiatives aligned to approved brand strategy and launch objectives
• Manages assigned components of the tactical budget, including spend tracking, forecasting support, and escalation of risks or variances
• Operates within approved strategic direction while recommending tactical approaches to achieve defined marketing objectives and launch milestones
• Recommends and executes approved business plan tactics for assigned initiatives, with guidance and approval from marketing leadership
• Leads cross-functional execution of approved tactics in partnership with Sales, Training, Analytics, Regulatory/Legal/Medical, agency partners, and other key stakeholders

Key Accountabilities

  • Manages execution of assigned HCP marketing tactics, translating approved brand strategy into field resources, project plans, and launch deliverables.
  • Supports brand planning, forecasting, and budget management through performance insights, field feedback, execution learnings, and spend tracking.
  • Partners cross-functionally with Sales, Training, Analytics, Regulatory, Legal, Medical, agencies, and other stakeholders to develop, approve, and implement assigned initiatives.
  • Maintains understanding of product performance, customer insights, market dynamics, and competitive activity to identify opportunities, risks, and execution barriers.
  • Ensures promotional materials and field resources are customer-focused, strategically aligned, and compliant with applicable requirements.

Education & Experience

  • B.S. Degree is required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant marketing, sales, project management, or pharmaceutical/healthcare experience
  • Pharmaceutical or healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience working with field-based sales teams preferred
  • Experience in the therapeutic area is preferred
  • Track record of successfully achieving business goals and a record of successfully working with cross-functional team members
  • Experience developing and implementing POA plans and meetings is preferred

Knowledge

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical marketing processes, regulatory requirements, and the healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of customer segments, market dynamics, competitive landscape, and evolving market opportunities.
  • Ability to develop expertise in assigned products, therapeutic areas, customer insights, and key performance drivers.
  • Understanding of sales performance, market trends, promotional opportunities, and business metrics used to assess commercial effectiveness.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, agencies, and cross-functional workstreams
  • Ability to analyze data, market research, field feedback, and performance reports to inform tactical recommendations
  • Working financial acumen with ability to manage assigned budget components, track spend, and support forecasting inputs
  • Ability to develop and execute promotional tactics, field resources, POA materials, and launch readiness deliverables
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical promotional review processes, regulatory/legal/compliance requirements, and approved labeling
  • Working knowledge of brand strategy, positioning, messaging, segmentation, targeting, market development, and lifecycle planning
  • Ability to collaborate with Sales, Training, Analytics, Regulatory, Legal, Medical, agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, including ability to tailor communications to different audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • 30% Travel may be required
