Y's Time Counselor - Saranac Lake

Description

The Y's Time counselors provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment for school-age children during afterschool hours. This position follows a daily schedule while leading crafts, group activities, homework support, gym games, outdoor play, and other enrichment activities.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and ensure the safety of children.
• Follow the daily program schedule.
• Lead arts and crafts, games, sports, and group activities.
• Encourage positive behavior and teamwork.
• Prepare and clean activity areas.
• Communicate effectively with staff and families.
• Follow all program policies and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Experience working with children preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Reliable, energetic, and organized.
• Ability to lead active games and participate in physical activities.
