The vision of the JLRNA Technical Center is to deliver a world-class service. We are hiring for a Workshop Supervisor - Jaguar Technical Center, with the following duties:Â
Duties:Â
- Comply with health and safety standards and maintain a safe work environment in the Technical Center.Â
- Maintain shop cleanliness and follow published 5S standards.Â
- Maintain a professional relationship with JLRNA employees and supplier personnel.Â
- Maintain and use equipment in Technical Center to operational standard.Â
- Take reasonable precautions to protect company vehicles.Â
- Ensure training requirements, as outlined by JLRNA, are completed successfully on time.Â
- Maintain JLRNA’s Key Track System.Â
- Co-ordinate the collection of disposable items (e.g. tires, oil, and scrap metal).Â
Responsibilities:Â
- Ensure operational readiness before start of shift.Â
- Supervise Workshop Administrator, Technicians, Porter, and Detail Service.Â
- Clearly identify work assignments and ensure these are communicated in daily/ weekly start-up meetings to Workshop Administrator, Technicians, Porter, and Detail Service with clear instructions on expected results/ outcome and time of completion.Â
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks/ matters for SUPPLIER personnel.Â
- Develop and maintain KPI reporting metrics from DMS or other data sources such as workshop utilization, technician’s productivity and efficiency, work-in-progress, parts inventory, open repair orders, warranty claim ageing and others as determined by JLRNA.Â
- Liaise with relevant departments to schedule/ prioritize company vehicles for defect diagnosis/ rework/ maintenance/ rework validation.Â
- Support vehicle preparation for press events.Â
- Open and close repair orders to bill for parts, labor, and sublets on vehicles which go through the Technical Center.Â
- Collect auto body rework estimates and submit to JLR Technical Center Manager for review/approval.Â
- Co-ordinate vehicle rework with sublet supplier partners.Â
- Order and bill service parts as required from JLRNA and suppliers.Â
- Set up, manage and maintain parts inventory system in Technical Center.Â
- Return excess or unused parts as required to parts distribution centers for credit.Â
- Use Master Part Number Register to identify parts for rework and parts ordering.Â
- Work closely with JLRNA Service Parts Team to provide feedback when parts and catalogue issues are identified.Â
- Support any other daily requirements as determined by JLRNA.Â
Requirements
 Requirements:Â
- College degree preferred but not required.Â
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is strongly preferred.Â
