Job DetailsJob Location: Main Hospital Campus Headquarters - Madison, WV 25130Position Type: Per DiemBoone Memorial Health is seeking a motivated and dependable Per Diem Radiology Transporter to join our Radiology Department. This position provides flexible, as-needed support to our imaging team while helping ensure patients receive a safe, comfortable, and positive experience. The Radiology Transporter assists with patient check-in and exam preparation, safely transports patients to and from the Radiology Department, and provides clerical and operational support to help keep the department running efficiently. At the core of our system is a 25-bed inpatient hospital with a 24/7 Emergency Department designated as a Level IV Trauma Center. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist patients arriving for Radiology services Review exam information and help prepare patients for imaging procedures Safely transport patients to and from the Radiology Department using wheelchairs, stretchers, and other appropriate equipment Maintain patient safety, privacy, dignity, and comfort during transportation Assist Radiologic Technologists during examinations and procedures as needed Schedule appointments and perform related functions within TruBridge Burn and export imaging studies through PACS as needed Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked patient and work areas Use appropriate lifting techniques, transfer methods, and safety equipment when assisting patients Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team Maintain accurate records and assist with departmental clerical duties Follow infection prevention and safety procedures Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Follow all applicable hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to safely assist with lifting, moving, and transporting patients Ability to provide compassionate and respectful service to patients and families Basic understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements Dependable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a healthcare team Per Diem (PRN) – This position works on an as-needed basis based on departmental staffing and scheduling needs.
