We’re currently searching for Line Cooks to join our dynamic team!

What Will You Do as a Sushi Cook at Alchemy?

• Create high quality sushi including cooking rice, rolling sushi, temperature recording, cutting and packaging for take-out and dine-in plate preparation
• Preparing sushi dishes according to established guidelines on quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety
• Expertly cutting, slicing, and filleting different types of fish
• Inspecting the quality of fruits, vegetables, and fish used to prepare sushi dishes and informing the Chef when quality is sub-standard
• Setting up, maintaining, and cleaning stations in practicing good safety, sanitation and organizational skills while adhering to restaurant guidelines
• Ensuring quality and safety of food by performing standard and any additional sanitary measures including good personal hygiene, cleaning of surfaces and sweeping of floors, as well as proper covering and storage of food items according to standards and procedures

Requirements

• At least 1 year direct sushi experience in a fast-paced, upscale bar/restaurant
• Experience with additional types of Asian cuisine a plus
• Food Safety Certification a plus
• A neat and professional appearance
• Ability to work in a high volume/fast-paced work environment
• Proper knowledge of use and maintenance of all equipment in station
