Logistics Supervisor

Assists the logistics movement, distribution and storage of supplies and materials. Plans routes, analyzes budgets, and processes shipments. Designs and analyzes the logistics processes and operational solutions used in distributing those goods and services. Responsible for all supply operations under this effort, with the Supply Department Manager. Supervisory guidance and experience, overseeing nearly 120 personnel within the Akima Fort Sill Supply footprint. This role requires a seasoned professional with at least 5-7 years of documented, comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions. The successful candidate will ensure security and conscientious inventory management of actual property, serve as a liaison for GCSS-A customer support, and provide critical guidance and recommendations in accordance with AR 5-9 Area Support Responsibilities, to enhance operational efficiency.

• Installation Supply Support Services: 
  • Assists the management of Installation Supply Support Services, which includes Warehouse Operations, retail supply services (Supply Support Activity (SSA) Class II, IIIP, IV, VII, and IX), Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) supply and services. 
  • Ensure services are conducted in compliance with AR 5-9 and other applicable DoD regulations. 
• US Marine Corps Tactical Supply Support Activity (SSA): 
  • Oversee the management of US Marine Supply Support Services, which includes Warehouse Operations, retail supply services (Supply Support Activity Class II, IIIP, IV, VII, and IX), Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) supply and services. 
  • Ensure all services are following applicable regulations, including AFO safety and quality standards.
• Clothing Initial Issue Point (CIIP) Operations, including Night Issue Services: 
  • Provide comprehensive OCIE services, including requirements determination, requisitioning (including Special Measurement orders on DD Form 358 or DD Form 1111), receipt, storage, and kitting of items. 
  • Assists oversight thru issue, turn-in, E-Order fittings, lateral transfers, hand receipts, temporary loans, and maintain active and inactive files. 
  • Oversee direct exchange services to individuals, shipping of excess items as directed by TACOM, inventories, processing adjustment documents, and use of the Installation Support Module (ISM) for accountability and reporting. 
• Ammunition Supply Point Services: 
  • Assists oversight in all required retail supply services for ammunition (Class V). 
  • Responsibilities include maintaining signature cards, requisitioning, receiving, processing, addressing supply discrepancy reports (SDRs), issue, redistribution, retrograde, care of supplies in storage (COSIS), turn-ins, and complying with the Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP). Operate the supply Logistics Information System (LIS) for supply management and reporting. 
• Hazardous Material Supply Operations: 
  • Maintain a Hazardous Material Supply Operations (HMSO) Supply and Storage Facility in accordance with AR 710-2, DA PAM 710-2-2, and AR 735-5. Provide technical assistance and management support for ongoing Hazardous Material Supply Operations. 
• Managerial Duties: 
  • Perform assisting managerial duties, including training, progressive discipline, administrative tasks and enforcing safety policies and procedures and ensuring the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). 
• Customer Support & Performance Monitoring: 
  • Serve as the primary liaison for GCSS-A customer support. 
  • Provide guidance, advice, and assistance to users, research and resolve customer questions and issues, and recommend appropriate actions. 
  • Pull, research, and analyze GCSS-A reports, propose business process efficiencies, and monitor GCSS-A performance reports. 
  • Provide monthly summary reports to the LRC Supply Chief, submit and follow up on Help Desk Tickets (HDT) as needed, and review the Warehouse Activity Monitor daily. Attend GCSS Army update briefings (Wave I and Wave II) and provide updates to the Supply Chief.
  • Serve as the alternate DODAAC Coordinator, extract data, and assist users with other Logistics Information Systems as required. Participate in community of practice meetings for Retail Supply and CIF. 
  • Key Control- Serve as a Key Control Custodian for the site, to include the submission of facility work orders through (ARMA). 
  • Providing oversight and assistance in all areas of supply and services within the EAGLE contract.
  • Oversight on accountability of all assigned property (GFE, CAP, etc.).
  • Complete and comprehensive knowledge of property book, supply, and equipment management processes and related regulations.
  • Exercise analytical techniques and causative research skills to identify areas of needed emphasis and recommend process enhancements/improvements.
  • Utilize comprehensive communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, prepare reports, plans, and work instructions.
• Other duties as assigned

• 5-7 years of Supply Services experience in supply management or warehouse operations, including oversight of personnel, workflow, and mission execution.
• Comprehensive knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, and procedures, including Army supply, storage, subsistence, and equipment management requirements.
• Proficiency in standard office software, including spreadsheets, communication tools and enterprise systems that support daily operational workflows.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, brief stakeholders, and coordinate cross-functional activities.
• Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Ability to successfully complete multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background screening.
• Able to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation result and obtain/maintain a Common Access Card (CAC). 

Desired Qualifications: 

• 10+ years of progressive experience in project or financial management within operational or supply-chain environments.
• Prior successful experience in supply & services at Fort Sill, preferred.
• Demonstrated track record of building effective relationships, preferred.
• Military experience in logistics, supply, or readiness roles is highly desirable.
• Project management experience preferred, including timeline and resource coordination.
• Experience with federal or DoD supply, property accountability, or contracting environments.
• Experience supporting PAAT mission requirements or other Army audit‑readiness programs.
• Experience conducting causative research, inventory discrepancy resolution, identifying process improvements, and performance analysis.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement preferred. 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Lifting and Carrying: Frequently lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying heavy objects, sometimes up to 30 pounds.
• Mobility and Balance: Extensive walking (up to 10 kilometers a day), climbing up/down, bending, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Strength and Endurance: Using muscles for long periods, including working in cramped or awkward spaces.
• Environmental Factors: Working in extreme hot or cold temperatures, in all weather conditions, and with exposure to loud noise or vibration.
• Safety and Sensory Needs: Must possess good, sometimes aided, vision (including color distinction) and hearing, as well as the ability to climb on and off moving or stationary equipment.
