The Lead Cook assumes the responsibility for sanitation, controlling food costs, assigning shift production assignments for the preparation of a variety of foods for patients, cafeteria services, and special functions. The Lead Cook maintains daily and effective communications with the Food Service Director or Production Chef regarding employee relations and on-going projects. Under minimal supervision.

Required qualifications:

  • Upon hire: National Food Handler Card - State County City Authority.
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National ServSafe Manager Certification - National Restaurant Association.
  • 3 years Food service experience.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
