Skillforce is currently seeking experienced Low Voltage Electricians for ongoing commercial projects in Louisville, KY. These are contract-to-hire opportunities offering steady, full-time work at approximately 40 hours per week.
We are hiring both Journeyman and Apprentice Low Voltage Electricians with commercial experience. The ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of low voltage systems, be able to work independently, and maintain a high standard of quality and safety on the job site.
Pay:
- Journeyman Low Voltage Electrician: Up to $35/hour, depending on experience and skill set
- Apprentice Low Voltage Electrician: Up to $30/hour, depending on experience and skill set
Low Voltage Electrician Job Scope:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial low voltage electrical systems
- Install and terminate low voltage cabling and wiring
- Install and work with communication, data, security, access control, fire alarm, or other low voltage systems as required
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
- Pull, route, dress, and terminate low voltage cable
- Install cable trays, raceways, conduit, and related support systems
- Test and troubleshoot low voltage systems to ensure proper operation
- Follow project specifications, NEC requirements, and job site safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects on schedule
Low Voltage Electrician Requirements:
- Previous commercial low voltage electrical experience preferred
- Journeyman candidates should have strong hands-on low voltage experience
- Apprentice candidates should have some electrical or low voltage experience and a willingness to learn
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid Driver's License
- Must have your own basic tools and PPE
- OSHA certification is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
