Pharmacy Technician - Outpatient

As a full time Outpatient Pharmacy Technician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Ca, you will assist with coordination, preparation, distribution, prior authorization and delivery of mediations of Discharge and Transplant patients in a timely manner.  All duties are performed independently by the technician under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

• High school Diploma/GED required

License/Certification/Registration Requirements:

• Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing

What else are we looking for?

• Prior Authorization experience is highly preferred

Physical demands:

• Frequent standing; walking, bending; reaching, occasional sitting, pushing & pulling, lifting of materials up to 40 pounds for distances to 10 feet.
• Responsiveness to auditory alarms and communication devices including: telephones, beepers, fire alarms, and mechanical failure alarms.
• Sufficient mobility to access equipment, patients and other customers.
• Able to read information on medication labels.
