AI-Enabled HOA Management | Career Path to Community Manager
Help Us Build the Future of HOA Management
We're not looking for someone to simply answer emails, process paperwork, and check boxes.
We're looking for someone with the intelligence, curiosity, judgment, and ambition to become a great Community Manager.
Our company is growing, and we're fundamentally changing how HOA management is done.
We're building an AI-enabled, technology-driven management platform where homeowners, Board members, vendors, and our team can conduct much of their day-to-day business through a centralized software portal.
AI and automation are increasingly handling repetitive administrative work, organizing information, assisting with communications, and helping our team work more efficiently.
But technology doesn't eliminate the need for great people.
It makes great people more valuable.
We're looking for a high-potential individual who can learn our business, master our technology, develop strong relationships with homeowners and Board members, and ultimately grow into a Community Manager.
If you're smart, organized, personable, technologically curious, and looking for a career—not just another job—we want to meet you.
This Is a Career Track
Our goal is not to keep you in an assistant position indefinitely.
For the right person, the opportunity can develop along this path:
Community Operations Associate → Assistant Community Manager → Community Manager
As you learn the business and demonstrate your ability to take on greater responsibility, you'll have the opportunity to grow with the company. We will teach you the HOA business.
We're looking for someone who brings the ability, judgment, work ethic, and desire to learn it.
What Makes This Position Different?
Traditional HOA management can involve an enormous amount of repetitive work—emails, phone calls, paperwork, data entry, follow-ups, scheduling, and tracking. We're working to change that.
Our technology platform is designed to move more of that work into a centralized system. AI assists our team with organizing information, drafting communications, identifying issues, and handling routine workflows.
That means our people can spend more time on the things technology cannot do well:
Judgment.
Problem-solving.
Relationships.
Leadership.
Communication.
And understanding people.
Problem-solving.
Relationships.
Leadership.
Communication.
And understanding people.
You will learn to use technology as a force multiplier rather than simply performing tasks manually.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and manage homeowner, Board, and vendor requests through our software platform
- Use AI and technology tools to organize, research, prioritize, and respond to requests
- Communicate directly with homeowners when personal assistance is needed
- Recognize when an issue can be handled through our systems and when it requires human judgment
- Assist Community Managers with the operation of assigned communities
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors
- Follow up on open issues and make sure commitments are completed
- Assist with Board meetings, notices, correspondence, and documentation
- Learn how to interpret and apply HOA governing documents
- Learn HOA laws, procedures, and community-management best practices
- Develop relationships with homeowners, Board members, vendors, and other professionals
- Identify opportunities to improve our systems and workflows
- Gradually assume greater responsibility as your knowledge and capabilities develop
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for potential more than a résumé. You may already have HOA or property-management experience. That's great. But you might also come from customer service, real estate, hospitality, technology, operations, finance, education, or another field entirely.
What matters most is how you think and how you interact with people.
We want someone who:
- Learns quickly
- Is intellectually curious
- Has excellent communication skills
- Can explain complicated things clearly
- Is comfortable talking with people at all levels
- Has strong emotional intelligence
- Uses good judgment
- Takes ownership of problems
- Doesn't need to be told what to do every step of the way
- Is highly organized and follows through
- Is comfortable learning new technology
- Is curious about AI and how it can improve business
- Can adapt when the way we've always done something changes
- Is professional, dependable, and accountable
- Wants to build a career and take on increasing responsibility
You Don't Need to Know Everything.
In fact, we expect you won't.
What we're looking for is someone who can say:
“I don't know the answer yet—but I'll figure it out.”
That's the mindset that succeeds here.
The Human Touch Still Matters
We're excited about AI and automation. But we don't believe HOA management can—or should—become entirely automated. A homeowner may submit a request through the portal, but sometimes what they really need is someone to listen.
A Board member may have a complicated question that requires judgment rather than a canned response.
A vendor may need someone to resolve an issue.
A difficult situation may require empathy, diplomacy, and experience.
Knowing when technology is enough—and when a human needs to step in—is an important part of this job.
Compensation & Benefits
$28–$33 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and potential.
We are willing to pay for exceptional talent. Candidates with an unusual combination of intelligence, communication skills, technology aptitude, and leadership potential may be considered at the upper end of the range.
We offer a competitive benefits package, including health benefits, paid vacation, PTO, and paid holidays.
Additional details regarding compensation and benefits will be discussed with qualified candidates.
Where You'll Work
We have offices in Torrance and West Los Angeles.
This is a primarily in-office position.
We believe having our team together is important for training, collaboration, mentoring, problem-solving, and developing the systems and culture that will allow our company to grow.
We also recognize that flexibility can have value. As our technology and workflows continue to evolve, there may be situations where remote work makes business sense.
Any remote-work flexibility will be considered based on the needs of the business, the responsibilities of the position, and the individual's experience and performance. Remote work is not a standard component of the position.
Why This Could Be a Great Opportunity
You won't just be learning how to process HOA requests. You'll be learning:
- How businesses operate
- How technology and AI can transform an industry
- How to work with Boards of Directors
- How to manage relationships with customers and vendors
- How to solve complicated problems
- How to communicate with people in difficult situations
- How communities are governed
- How to manage multiple priorities
- And ultimately, how to manage a portfolio of HOA communities
We're building a company for the next generation of HOA management.
If you're smart, ambitious, technologically curious, and want the opportunity to grow into a management role, we want to hear from you.
Come help us build the future of HOA management.
