Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for performing quality control inspections, evaluating issues, and recommending corrective actions to ensure compliance with project standards. They develop and maintain inspection procedures, reports, and checklists, while coordinating and tracking nonconformance reports through resolution. The role includes monitoring field activities, conducting inspections and tests, and ensuring all work aligns with established plans, specifications, and quality control requirements. At more advanced levels, the Quality Engineer applies expert inspection techniques and data analysis methods to identify trends, improve processes, and enhance overall quality performance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to job functions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners, as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promptly report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or incidents to management.
  • Participate in required training sessions and safety briefings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet operational needs.


Required Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Industrial/Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing, implementing, and evaluating quality programs, processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Experience addressing complex, high-impact quality issues requiring advanced analysis and independent judgment.
  • Advanced knowledge of quality regulations, policies, and proceduresĀ 
  • Strong ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and technical documentsĀ 
  • Proven experience researching issues and recommending effective QC solutionsĀ 
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work through problems quickly and effectively and define a clear path to resolution


Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional relevant education or professional certifications in a related fieldĀ 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and AdobeĀ 
  • Active DOE Q Clearance and HRP status preferred
