Pay: $42.34 to $50.81 per hour

JOB SUMMARY:
We are hiring an Inpatient Unit Charge RN to provide compassionate, patient-centered hospice care in our Hospice Inpatient Unit located on the 4th floor of Longmont United Hospital. This role provides nursing care to patients with complex and changing needs while supporting comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
The Charge RN functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team and works closely with patients, families, physicians, Social Workers, Chaplains, Volunteers, and other care team members to ensure patient needs are promptly addressed. The Charge RN performs frequent and accurate assessments, develops and implements plans of care, administers treatments and medications, monitors patient progress, and evaluates outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide skilled nursing care to hospice patients in accordance with the patient’s individualized plan of care
- Perform frequent and accurate assessments and recognize changes in the patient’s clinical condition
- Establish measurable patient goals and communicate ongoing changes in the plan of care to the interdisciplinary team
- Implement physician and nursing treatment plans and evaluate patient outcomes
- Provide medication management in accordance with established protocols, including recognizing and reporting adverse drug reactions and medication variances
- Collaborate with patients and families in developing and adjusting the plan of care based on individual needs, preferences, and communication styles
- Create a supportive care environment that respects each patient’s dignity, privacy, cultural preferences, and spiritual needs
- Work collaboratively with Social Workers, Chaplains, Volunteers, Physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current RN license in the state of Colorado required
- 2+ years of RN experience
- Prior hospice experience highly preferred
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance required
- CPR certification required or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
- Must comply with agency health screening and immunization requirements
