Job Summary: Move steel coil stock and blanking material throughout the plant by forklift and crane. Â Ensure material is tagged and located in correct locations within the QAD / Eagle platforms. Â Load material at the press lines either on the coil feeder reels or staging carts. Â Â Â Â Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Be able to operate overhead crane to handle coils of steel and load in de-coiler.
- Be able to identify coils of steel by part number and location for quick coil changes.
- Identify coils of steel needed daily from the stamping schedule and stage this material at the press assigned.
- Band up partial coils when required and place in holding area for retagging process.
- Use weight scale attached to crane to accurately get new weight for all partial coils.
- Ensure all steel coils have tag identification at all times. Â Work with Steel Buyer to ensure tags are complete.
- Assist in tracking of nonconforming material throughout the facility from finding through material disposition.
- Cycle count material inventory.
- Unload trucks, weigh count, and store raw materials or components.
- Handle and transport materials, parts, and supplies between or within departments.
- Performs material handling work directly related to production operations.
- Learn and perform all functions in relation to current QAD Inventory system.
- All other duties as assigned.
 Required Experience:  - Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Forklift training preferred.
- Must be able to use hand tools
- Overhead crane certified preferred
Required Safety Equipment: Â - Cut resistance gloves
- Safety Glasses
- Cut resistance sleeves (worn to elbow)
- Earplugs or Muffs
- Metatarsal Steel Toe shoes
 Education Skills Required:  - High school diploma or GED preferred
  Training Required:  - Must complete Forklift Certification
- Must complete Overhead Crane Training
  Physical Job Requirements:  - Must be able to sit, reach above shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs on a consistent basis
- Must be able to work overtime as needed, 10 hour or 12-hour shifts (up to 7 days a week.)
- Must be able to stand 10 - 12 hours daily.Â
