Niagara Hospice is looking for a compassionate RN to join our Home Care team on a per-diem basis. 

Hours: Overnight On-Call: 4:30pm-8:30am. Weekend day on-call also available for pick-up.

Position Summary:

The Per Diem On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) provides skilled hospice nursing services to Niagara Hospice patients and their families during scheduled on-call shifts. The On-Call RN provides comprehensive clinical assessment, direct and indirect patient care, symptom management, education, emotional support, and coordination of services to promote patient comfort, safety, dignity, and quality of life.

The On-Call RN responds to patient and family needs by telephone and/or through in-person nursing visits and collaborates with physicians, the interdisciplinary team (IDT), clinical leadership, and other members of the care team to ensure timely and appropriate hospice care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current, unrestricted New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license and registration.
  • Current New York State driver's license.
  • Ability to travel throughout Niagara County service area.
