As a Hardware Specialist, you will be responsible for successful customer delivery, inventory, and repairs of WorkForce Software (WFS) data collection hardware devices, such as time clocks. The Hardware Specialist works across multiple departments involved in hardware deployment including Sales, Support, Services and Development teams. You’ll act as a team player on internal and client engagements.
You will assist with the badge testing process as well as the support intake and hardware issue evaluation. Additionally, you may troubleshoot incidents and actively work to resolve them or escalate as appropriate. We also have a healthy dose of fun. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Responsibilities
What you can expect on a typical day:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and support hardware and software used for workforce data collection, including customer testing, upgrades, deployments, and ongoing technical support.
  • Manage hardware repair and replacement processes, including inventory tracking, shipping and receiving, purchase order creation, customer billing support, and inventory reconciliation within NetSuite.
  • Configure Workforce Terminals and related system components, including screen layouts, workflows, data integrations, and customer-specific settings to meet business requirements.
  • Test and validate customer hardware and badge functionality, document results, and identify, resolve, and communicate issues, risks, recommendations, and solution status to customers and leadership.
  • Collaborate with customers, internal stakeholders, and management to improve product and system performance, reduce defects, and support successful implementations and operational excellence.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, requirements, and knowledge base content; develop basic formulas and SQL queries to support system functionality; and maintain required certifications through ongoing training and professional development.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Required Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate successfully across teams and work independently when needed.
  • Proficiency with business applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and other workplace productivity tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to follow established procedures, analyze data, and troubleshoot hardware-related issues.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude, adaptability, and a commitment to learning new technologies, processes, and skills in a fast-paced environment.

A college degree is great but not required. What's more important is having the skills to do the job. Other acceptable experiences could include:
• Experience noted above OR
• Military experience where skills including teamwork, adaptability, organization, and follow-through will help you build team and client relationships, identify solutions, and achieve success.
