Founded in 1978, Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A. (Formosa Plastics) is a growing, vertically-integrated supplier of plastic resins and petrochemicals. Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.
SALES REP II
POSITION OBJECTIVE
- Maintain the budgeted volume of Sales and Revenue for this territory, promoting good customer relationships, accurately reflecting company attitudes and policies to our current customers and potential customers.
- Oversee the customer activities within the Sales territory. Plan and schedule regular direct customer visits to our current customers and to potential new customers. Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of customers activities, potential customers and competitive activities in the marketplace.
- Keep management and the Vinyl Division informed on the market activity within their territory.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
- Manage and Oversee Sales territory: Plan regular direct Customer visits with current and potential new accounts.
- Manage Sales Travel and Entertainment expenses based on Monthly Planned customer visits.
- Meet Expected Sales Volumes and Sales Revenue budgeted for this territory.
- Contact prospective new customers and continuously search for New Business opportunities.
- Initiate and maintain the required internal paperwork to maintain the customers in this territory. This would include NAN’s, CQRF’s, SPR’s and Customer contracts.
- Conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner.
- Handle and submit the required reports on a Daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- For sales Call planning- A monthly planned itinerary is required by the 15th of the prior month for the upcoming month.
- Prior to each week- a weekly sales call itinerary is required.
- Sales call reports are required from each customer visit or conference call with a customer. The submittal needs to be completed within that week of the actual visit/conference call.
- Weekly expense report submittals- All business related travel expenses are to be submitted within 30 days of the actual business expenses.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Four Year College graduate.
- 4+ years (or more) of outside sales- direct sales customer visit engagement.
- Sales experience in the Plastics/Chemical industry is preferred but not mandated.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good presentation skills and organization habits.
