Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Cath Lab PACU Nurse provides high-level clinical care to patients immediately following invasive cardiac and vascular procedures. The primary focus is on hemodynamic monitoring, vascular access site management (hemostasis), and the identification of post-procedural complications.
- Clinical Stabilization:Â Managing vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and recovery from sedation, with an immediate focus on responding to hemodynamic instability or arrhythmias.
- Vascular Oversight:Â Managing arterial/venous access sites to ensure hemostasis and preventing complications like hematomas through careful site monitoring and device management.
- Pharmacological Management:Â Administering specialized cardiac medications (anticoagulants/antiplatelets) and analgesics according to physician orders.
- Patient Advocacy & Transitions:Â Providing thorough patient/family education on post-procedure restrictions and medication compliance, while ensuring seamless hand-offs to the next level of care.
We are offering a $25,000 sign on bonus to hires who meet the eligibility requirements. We also offer additional pay for participation in our clinical ladder as well as referral bonuses, excellent benefits, and relocation assistance.Â
Job Requirements
- Unencumbered license to practice in the State of ArkansasÂ
- 1 year of acute care experience is required (new graduates or nurses who have never worked in an acute care setting are hired through our residency training program)Â
- Previous PACUÂ or Cath Lab experience preferred, not required
- BLS , ACLS hrough the American Heart Association is requiredÂ
