Summary of Job Duties:

*This is a temporary position*

Under direct supervision, the Locksmith provides accurate and timely troubleshooting of electronic and mechanical lock hardware and systems. This position participates in a group 24 hours a day, 7 days a week 365 days a year on-call rotation where each member of the group takes call for 1 week at a time.


Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED plus five (5) years of Cabling, low-voltage systems, carpentry/building maint., and mechanical/electronic lock systems required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Customer Service experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform installations of mechanical and electronic control systems, which may include door access control, mechanical locks, keypads, electronic locks, Wi-Fi locks, and associated hardware.

  • Respond to situations where lock hardware or systems have failed and action must be taken to isolate or repair problem equipment or software, or make configuration changes to return locking systems to full functionality.

  • Process key requests and issue keys, and ensure that the Simple K platform is kept up to date. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
